The International Phalaenopsis Alliance is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The IPA was formed in 1990 to promote the appreciation, cultivation and conservation of Phalaenopsis orchids through fellowship, symposiums, education and the publication of our digital quarterly magazine, ‘Phalaenopsis’.  In November, 2025, after much discussion and soul searching, and the changing times, the IPA Board voted to disband the Alliance.
